The Catedral Cartagena dates back to the 16th century. It was in ruins since 1939. It was restored by Victor Beltri. It is Romanesque style with modernist elements. It was one of the first sanctuaries for freed African slaves. It is inside the old walled city of Cartagena, a UNESCO Heritage site. This picture shows the Cathedral lit up at night. Wow. Also is the beautiful pedestrian walkway leads you right to the church. This is city with great night life. Beautiful balconies everywhere.
Casa Castelbondo boutique hotel or also known as Casa Alta de Castelbondo in the walled city of Cartagena. Not sure of the exact date it was built but it is at least two hundred years old. This hotel may be the most interesting hotel I have ever seen.
When you walk into this lobby, you see distressed walls with exposed brick and some of the walls have been partially cut to expose the back section of the pool. The look is that of an abandoned building.
Bogota is so beautiful. I got the chance to tour around. Amazing place. Gold artifacts in the Gold Museum in Bogotá. Incredible collection of gold hundreds and thousands of years old.
